Blackhawk Network (BHN) is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Servicing Engineering team in Bangalore. This full-stack role demands deep front-end engineering capabilities paired with a solid foundation in backend services. You will build clean, high-performance, and responsive user interfaces for heavy transaction and servicing workflows, while simultaneously designing robust, distributed APIs. A core differentiator for this position is its placement within an AI-augmented development ecosystem; you will utilize modern AI coding assistants to write, optimize, test, and prototype solutions, delivering secure end-to-end features for BHN's global branded payments platform.

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience handling web application development.
• Advanced engineering proficiency in React alongside modern structured JavaScript and TypeScript development. Sound understanding of front-end architecture, modular component design patterns, and application state management.
• Good hands-on experience building, testing, and maintaining server-side microservices and applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Direct experience designing, building, documenting, and consuming scalable, low-latency REST APIs across integrated layers.
• Practical proficiency in day-to-day development using AI-led developer productivity tools and coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar tooling) to accelerate debugging, refactoring, unit testing, and architectural prototyping. Must apply strong engineering judgment to validate and audit AI-generated code snippets before production release.
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and highly tested code blocks. Active involvement in peer code reviews, systemic debugging, and improving application logging or system observability.
• Exposure to deploying cloud-native architectures on AWS, working with micro-frontend design patterns, configuring modern UI design systems, and scaling workflow-heavy customer service dashboards.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, high adaptability toward emerging technologies, and a team-first collaborative mindset.
